DESCRIPTION
CorroShield® is a blend of corrosion inhibitors, chelators, and surface-active ingredients, designed for use in acid cleaning applications. It can be added directly to the concentrated acid or to the diluted acid solutions.

• Can be blended directly into concentrated acids, i.e., Hydrochloric, Sulfuric, Phosphoric, liquid Sulfamic, Bisulfate
• DOT Non-Regulated, small volume can be shipped via FedEx or UPS
• Prevents flash corrosion post acid cleaning.

APPLICATIONS
CorroShield® is designed to inhibit the corrosive action of the acids used in descaling equipment, such as, boilers, cooling towers (including galvanized towers), closed loops, and heat exchangers.

DOSAGE and FEEDING
For the following discussion, metals will be classified as follows.

• Type I – mild steel, copper, brass, and stainless steel
• Type II – galvanized metal

CorroShield® can be fed directly into the system as follows:

• For Type I metals, add 0.2% to 0.4 % of the system volume, for acid strength 1% to 5%.
• For Type II metals, add 0.6% to 1.2% of the system volume, for acid strength 1% to 5%.

If system size/capacity is unknown, add CorroShield® as follows:

• For Type I metals, add 6% by volume to hydrochloric acid (38%), 9% by volume to phosphoric and sulfuric, or ½ gal per 100 lbs of sulfamic acid and bisulfate.
• For Type II metals, add 1 gal per 100 lbs of sulfamic acid and bisulfate.

If CorroShield® is to be blended into the concentrated acid, blend as follows:

• For hydrochloric acid (38%), blend 6% and 12% by volume for type I and type II metals respectively.
• For phosphoric and sulfuric acid, blend 9% and 18% by volume for type I and type II metals respectively.

CorroShield® can be blended directly into sulfamic acid and bisulfate in liquid forms only. For other blend combinations, please contact us.
