DESCRIPTION
WET-2176 is a terbuthylazine based, non-foaming, non-ionic algaecide for use in commercial and industrial cooling water systems. Aside from being unsightly, algae provides nutrients to other microorganism that attack the cooling system. It can also dislodge to plug the cooling system, resulting in unscheduled shutdowns and disruption to your operation.

BENEFITS
• Reduces the indirect growth of microbio
• Prevents algae induced pluggage
• Helps maintain efficient heat transfer by minimizing bio-film and its deposits

APPLICATIONS
• HVAC Cooling Water Systems ? Evaporative Condensers
• Process Cooling Water ? Heat Exchange Water Systems
• Cooling Ponds ? Decorative Water Fountains

DOSAGE
CHLORINATED SYSTEMS AND/OR BROMINATED SYSTEMS

CONTINUOUS ADDITION: Maintain up to 3 fluid ounces of WET-2176 per 1,000 gallons of water, or about 25 ppm, in conjunction with either continuous dosing or regular shock doses of 0.1 - 1 ppm free chlorine and/or bromine.

SLUG/INTERMITTENT ADDITION: Apply 6 fluid ounces of WET-2176 per 1,000 gallons of water, or about 50 ppm, in conjunction with maintaining a shock doses of 0.1 - 1 ppm free chlorine and/or bromine.

It is recommended that WET-2176 be dosed at the same time as the chlorine and/or bromine is dosed and as close as possible to the chlorine and/or bromine dosing point.

NON-CHLORINATED AND/OR BROMINATED SYSTEMS

WET-2176 should be dosed to maintain up to 9 fluid ounces per 1,000 gallons of water, or about 75 ppm, WET-2176 can be dosed either continuously or by slug/intermittent addition to the system water to achieve the desired maintenance level.

PRECAUTION
Do not use WET-2176 in cooling water systems or fountains where the treated water will come into contact with lawns, trees, shrubs, or other desirable plants, since injury may result. Water from treated systems may not be used for irrigation or spraying of agricultural crops, lawns, or ornamental plants, or for watering cattle, goats, hogs, horses, poultry, or sheep, or for human consumption.

FEEDING
WHEN TO APPLY:
Treat the water early in the algal growth period (typically early Spring) before the system is in jeopardy of becoming fouled by algae. For maximum effectiveness, systems with heavy algal growth should be cleaned before using WET-2176.
For the continuous addition, WET-2176 should be fed via a chemical pump and timer assembly.

Material Compatibility - Stainless Steel, Polyethylene, PVC, mild steel. Do not use mild steel, yellow metals, aluminum.
