WET-1108 Boiler Treatment is a liquid blend of oxygen scavenger. The major ingredients in WET-1108 are sodium meta-bisulfite as oxygen scavenger, erythorbate as catalyst, and a decharacterizing agent for USDA applications.

WET-1108 Boiler Treatment is used to treat steam boilers at pressures up to 900 psig.

WET-1108 dosage varies according to make-up, feedwater temperature, whether a deaerator is used or not, etc. Dosages should be adjusted to maintain a residual sulfite range of 30 - 60 ppm.

WET-1108 must be fed into the feedwater tank or deaerator (below the water line). Entrance to the feed point must be via a stainless steel quill extending beyond the internal surface of the tank. WET-1108 should be fed neat, however where dilution is required use cooled condensate (<100° F) or softened water.

WET-1108 should be fed via a chemical pump, in proportion to steam load or water make-up, using a water meter contactor and timer assembly, to prevent wild fluctuations in the chemical levels.
